WELCOME

..and here are a few things to keep in mind:

This blog contains mostly my poetry and a few thoughts from time to time. The thoughts will be entered when and wherever I feel necessary to keep things in proper order. Thoughts and things not belonging to me will be denoted with asterisks. Poems will be archived by the date which they were written, not by that which they were posted. I tend to update things a month or few after being written so as to keep current issues from wandering unattended around the web.

Enjoy...

“The difficulty of literature is not to write, but to write what you mean; not to affect your reader, but to affect him precisely as you wish.”

Death and Horror

Death and horror be upon us.
We warned you once,
Not it’s beyond us.

We told you twice,
You turned your head.
Now, soon, you’ll be dead.

Once more you said no,
You wouldn’t believe us,
You said "so?"

When they finally came,
"No way, not me," you said,
Now you’ll never be the same.

Now you lay here,
Day by day,
Your end is near.

Your obsession was death,
For others that is,
But, now, it’s your last breath.

Your time has come,
To go down below,
To what you have become.

The kiss of death,
You can’t defeat,
You have finally been beat

Poems

Poems are my diary,
I write differently than most.
People ask if they can read,
Usually, no…
Again, it’s like my diary.
No one reads one,
So the other?

Sometimes they rhyme,
Sometimes they are just thoughts
broken by a new line.
I write what I think,
feel,
have felt,
see,
and anything else.

Whether others would understand,
I doubt.
But I get my meaning
just fine.

My One, My Only

What happens when he finds out
I’ve deceived him, not intentionally,
But I have, no doubt.
Will he forgive me? Learn to live with me?
Or will our love fade-out?
He’ll begin to know the real me.
When the time comes, I won’t hold out.
I will show my true self then,
Every day; day in, and day out.
Although I’ve changed,
Will he still remain devout?
Would he be changed too?
Or would I already know him over and out?
I would hope, me, he could stand,
Because on him, my love would be sold out,
My one, my only,
Forever and ever, an end without.

My Story

Turning endless pages of this tragedy,
My life; here today, gone tomorrow.
All my experiences, from my Lord I borrow.

Good moments, and bad too,
They're all apart of my history,
Planed by God, for me; My story.

Through all that has happened,
And that which has yet to come,
A better Christian I will become.

Too Much

I’ve been through so much lately,
I don’t know how much more I can take.
People ask what’s wrong,
Ask if they can help.

They just don’t understand,
Although, I haven’t tried to explain.
They don’t know what it feels like,
To bear this pain.

Say we all have problems,
They’re there to help me.
I can’t explain it to anyone,
No one really knows me.

Suicidal friends, death, and other things too.
Sometimes I wish it’d all go away.
Decisions to decide.
My own and others to help, too.

Maybe I try too hard,
Maybe I should just quit.
I do have these thoughts,
Maybe I could just die.

I really don’t want to,
And I know he doesn’t either.
I try to be optimistic,
And ask my Lord for help.

Passionate Anger

I hate them
People always looking over my shoulder
What's she writing?
Geez, she writes a lot

They have to notice
She always looks like she's been crying
What's up with her?
My goodness, she's weird

I can't stand it
Seems people can't accept me -just- the way I am
Why can't she be normal?
Just like us

They have to comment
She takes -everything- -so- seriously
Can't she take a joke?
Of course I can

I'm just me
I have my problems
Just like you
Why can't you just let me be?

No, I'm not 'normal'
What is that anyway?
I'm mentally sane
Or so I claim

I'm just fine
What about you?
((Why cant -you- be like -me-?))
((Cuz you are you and -not- me))

Nine 11

Today we remember,
Today we cry,
For those we lost,
In last September.

We lost a lot of population.
Black, white, tan, and yellow,
People from all over.
People from every nation.

I am Sarah, Myself

I am Sarah, myself.
I wonder what will become of this world.
I hear myself thinking.
I see what I can be.
I want to do well in life.

I am Sarah, myself.
I pretend to be too much of other people.
I believe there is only one thing to believe.
I touch everything I can see.
I feel wide-awake when I try to sleep.
I worry when I think of certain people.
I cry.

I am Sarah, myself.
I understand I can be no one but myself.
I say life does have a purpose.
I dream in pieces.

I am Sarah, myself.

Away

My own thoughts are so loud
I can’t hear the silence.

And suddenly I realize,
Your screaming.

You yell so loud,
Yet I can’t hear you.

I see you, I can’t hear you.
I try to ignore you.

Go away, I think,
You can’t hear my thoughts.

I’ve got to get up,
Go away, away,

Away from here,
Away from you.

You’ve gone through it all,
I trusted you with everything.

You’ve crushed all my hopes.
I trusted you.

Now I realize,
I’ve made a mistake.
