So I just realized it is Christmas
It is also almost 5 AM
No Santa at our place tonight
Waiting up and sure of it
No old man will break in
Employment of shotgun if necessary
There has never been a Santa around here
He has never dropped by
No baking useless cookies
No wasting milk as it sits out warming
No gifts either for a long time
It's okay.
I don't need Santa Claus.
I have cynicism.
WELCOME
..and here are a few things to keep in mind:
This blog contains mostly my poetry and a few thoughts from time to time. The thoughts will be entered when and wherever I feel necessary to keep things in proper order. Thoughts and things not belonging to me will be denoted with asterisks. Poems will be archived by the date which they were written, not by that which they were posted. I tend to update things a month or few after being written so as to keep current issues from wandering unattended around the web.
Enjoy...

Christmas is the Time
Christmas is the time to give not receive,
And don’t grieve.
If you don’t get what you want.
Christmas is the time
When there’s a chime
In the air,
And there’s not a care anywhere.
Christmas is the time to give,
And live,
Not receive,
And leave.
Christmas is a time for love,
Which comes form above.
Our hearts have to be right,
Or there might be a fight.
Christmas is a time for food,
Everyone’s in the mood.
We eat and eat,
Till we can’t stand on our feet.
Christmas is a time of singing,
And bell ringing.
Enjoy Christmas while it lasts.
